Our escapade started with a very long travel the night of June 25, 2011 at around 11:00 PM. Together with our friends from SVI Accounting, we hired 1 van as our only service vehicle during the trip. Around 3:00 AM the next day we arrived in Cagayan. We had a short coffee (and Milo with noodles) break before we proceeded to the Balingoan Ferry Terminal, the shortest ferry trip going to Camiguin Island.
We were first to arrived at around 6:00 AM to queue for the ferry boat. The ferry trip lasted more than an hour.
Past 7:00 AM when arrived. None of us including our driver knows the places we were in to. Lucky enough, we had a Samsung Galaxy tab with maps and GPS capability which served as our guide to the different spots of the islands.
Among the places that we went were:
1. Vanishing Island
Like Boracay, this small island is covered with white sand and clear beach water.
2. Katibawasan Falls
3. Ardent Hot Spring
4. Sunken Cemetery
5. Old Church Ruins
And after that, we got souvenirs and planning to go to SM Cagayan. but we didn't have time for it because the last ferry boat will be around 5:30. thats why we headed back home around 11:00.
P.S.: someone slept for only one hour to watch the driving. :)
