The 2013 IMC-Singapore Experience

Clarissa Lois joins the Philippine Team and won the Bronze Prize in the 2013 International Math Contest held in Singapore last August 2-4, 2013. She was accompanied by her mom Judie

Aside from the contest, both enjoyed the tour offered by the organizer of the Philippine Team.

Awesome Zuleika Lou got Academic Excellence Award

Zuleika Lou (Zu) performed well during her Level One stay at Precious International School of Davao. On the occasion of their Preschool Day last March 30, 2013, she was given an Academic Excellence Award. Her Silver Medallion she got during the Academic Week's Memory Verse contest was also given.

Zu also got the Best in Math given earlier on March 14 during their farewell party. She was also the Most Amiable in their class.

To Zu, keep it up! Mom, Dad, Ate Clang and MJ are very proud of you. We love you...


During the Preschool Day event, Level One learners also performed their dance presentation.

Clarissa Lois' 9th Birthday

Last February 8, 2013 on the day of Lois' 9th birthday was also the finals of the Metrobank-MTAP-DepEd Math Challenge (see this link). Instead of celebrating her birthday in school or somewhere else on that day, she got her mind for the contest. Luckily, she and her team won.

At night we had a simple celebration at home with a strawberry-themed cake courtesy of MC JZ.

On the next school day on Feb. 11, Lois had her 9th birthday celebrated in her classroom with s simple salu-salu or pika-pika for her classmates and friends.



To our dear Clarissa Lois, happy happy 9th birthday! We are proud of you and we love you. May God bless you always.

Lois, Brent & Ains won the Math Challenge Division Finals

It was during Lois' 9th birthday last February 8, 2013 that the Division Oral Team Finals of Metrobank-MTAP-DepEd Math Challenge was held in Kapitan Tomas Monteverde Elementary School in Davao City.

PISD won medals in almost all grade levels in the elementary. The Grade three team represented by Lois (Clarissa Lois Dalian), Brent (Brendon Rylle Macariola) and Ains (Ainslee Kaitlin Fernandez) got the third place with a bronze medallion.

Aside from the Oral Team Finals, individual awards were also given during the closing ceremony to those top individual scorers during the elimination held on a prior date. Lois got Second Honors with a certificate.

Also present during the awarding is Lois' sister Zuleika Lou, Mom Judie and Dad Mervin.
