Clarissa Lois' 9th Birthday

Last February 8, 2013 on the day of Lois' 9th birthday was also the finals of the Metrobank-MTAP-DepEd Math Challenge (see this link). Instead of celebrating her birthday in school or somewhere else on that day, she got her mind for the contest. Luckily, she and her team won.

At night we had a simple celebration at home with a strawberry-themed cake courtesy of MC JZ.

On the next school day on Feb. 11, Lois had her 9th birthday celebrated in her classroom with s simple salu-salu or pika-pika for her classmates and friends.

It was during Lois' 9th birthday last February 8, 2013 that the Division Oral Team Finals of Metrobank-MTAP-DepEd Math Challenge was held in Kapitan Tomas Monteverde Elementary School in Davao City.

PISD won medals in almost all grade levels in the elementary. The Grade three team represented by Lois (Clarissa Lois Dalian), Brent (Brendon Rylle Macariola) and Ains (Ainslee Kaitlin Fernandez) got the third place with a bronze medallion.

Aside from the Oral Team Finals, individual awards were also given during the closing ceremony to those top individual scorers during the elimination held on a prior date. Lois got Second Honors with a certificate.

Also present during the awarding is Lois' sister Zuleika Lou, Mom Judie and Dad Mervin.

Mervin Jr.'s 2nd Birthday
